2012 was the year of the Mason jar, simple and fresh designs with a rustic feel seemed to abound. It is predicted that 2013 will be a more elegant affair, with more oversized flowers in soft romantic colors. Elevated arrangements on large pedestal vases will add to the luxurious feeling of flowers such as hydrangea, peonies, garden roses and gerber daisies.
Brides will be looking for a more romantic color pallet of pastels with more nature inspired hues making a huge statement. Blushes, tans and khakis, clays with muted pinks will be popular colors set against rich natural sages and greens embracing the personality of the venue. Expect color pallets to take their lead from their surroundings; for example, ocean side weddings will incorporate blue and tan accents; garden weddings will feature bolder colors and rustic barn weddings will feature aged red and buttercream yellow flowers.
