Keep’em short–floral centerpieces that is.

Many times I have heard the complaint that, “At the last wedding I attended they had these big beautiful centerpieces thatcompletely blocked the view across the table and you couldn’t talk to anyone.  We ended up putting the flowers on the floor so we could talk.”  Well that completely defeated the purpose of having spent your floral budget on big beautiful floral displays for your tabletops if they are now all sitting on the floor.  Your guests are not concerned about the same thing you are as the bride.  You want everything beautiful and have been planning this event for a long time.  Your guests are there to show their love and support for you and your new husband, but they are also there to visit with family and friends they haven’t seen in a while.  Completely different purposes.  The last thing you want is your decor to be a hindrance to them enjoying themselves at your wedding.  Here is one option to help with that.  Keep your centerpieces short.  Typically a floral arrangement under 12 inches in height is going to give a really lovely display and keep that ‘area of conversation’ open for your guests to be able to talk and not be blocked by your flowers.
