Fantastic Rental Options for Centerpieces–Cylinders

Glass cylinder vases–yes of course I have those to rent.  Every height and every width imaginable.  What if I don’t have the exact size you want?  That’s easy, I can buy it and add it to my rental inventory.  I have much more use for 20, 20″ cylinders then you do probably.  However that is not all I have in my inventory.  Rectangular vases, cube vases, pilsner vases, satellite vases, trumpet vases, inverted trumpet vases.  Silver vases–yep those can be rented.  Do you need lanterns?  How about an arch?  Today we can just look at the cylinders then I will expand upon my rental piece inventory over the next several weeks to show you what fun stuff I have that you get to use for your wedding.  Did you find a picture of something I haven’t shown–show it to me–I’ll get it 🙂

To rent or not to rent?

There are many fabulous ways to display your florals at your wedding; vases, stands, pedestals, vintage containers.  There is the ever popular DYI where you collect pieces (for what seems like forever), filling a room in your home (or your parents’ house) with “wedding stuff” in order to save money.  This is a good option for some brides.  It gives you the option to give a really personal touch for your wedding.  But what are you going to do with all of that stuff after the big day?  When the clock strikes midnight and you are swept away in the limo with your new groom to your fantastic honeymoon what happens to all of it?  How excited is your family to start gathering all of that stuff?  Just something to think about.  On the other hand, what if you rent your containers from your florist, linen company or an outside equipment rental company?  There are some fantastic high end pieces that you can rent that you wouldn’t want to purchase necessarily.  Does someone come pick that stuff up?  Will the venue hold it?  Does your family have to still pack all of that up and then return it the next day?  All things you need to ask so everyone knows whats going on at the end of your wedding.  Because no matter how organized everything is and how many lists you have–you are married and are no longer there–because the clock has struck midnight and you have been rushed off to begin your new life with your Prince Charming.  Congratulations!  Thank you family–see you in a week 🙂  I wrote this blog more as a question raiser not as an answer giver.  If you want the answer though–just booked me as your florist.  I’ll rent you everything you need, then come back and pick it up at the end of the reception and any flowers your family wants to take with them I will have boxes available for them.  I can also use all of that stuff you have been collecting to make awesome table scapes.  You can give me as much, or as little, guidance as you want and let me do the work.

What do you do with that large glass vase?

To fill it or not to fill it–that really is the question.  It really depends on a couple things:  the theme for the event and the color scheme of the event.  Here are some really cool ideas to fill those vases–use the vases to add another talking point about your centerpieces.  Displayed below are clear water beads, espresso beans, rose petals, curly willow and spray roses, iridescent easter grass, oranges, dendrobium orchids, stargazer lilies.

Happy 10th Wedding Anniversary to Me and my wonderful husband Jeff.

On October 12, 2003 we headed to Las Vegas with a group of about 20 of our friends and family and got married on the Terrazzo Lawn of Caesars Palace.  Thank you to everyone who were a part of our lives then and those who have become a part of our lives now.  Its been a trip and we wouldn’t have done a single thing differently.  Thanks to the lovely ladies at Caesars for my flowers–we went extra simple but they were lovely.  My 8 pink rose bouquet is still dried and in my china cabinet.

Sticks and stones–used for a wedding?

Texture added to your florals are a great addition.  Branches are all the rage:  curly willow, corkscrew willow, manzanita, birch, cherry blossoms.  It can be painted, left natural, even bedazzled with some bling and candle light.  How about some rocks?  marbles, river rock.  Go au natural and throw in some outside elements to your wedding reception to dress it up, or down, a little.

Heavy metal weddings

Weddings do not have to be all frilly and fluffy.  Bling is the new thing–but what if you aren’t a blingy kind of girl.  Throw in some rod iron, metallics, aluminum, barbed wire, why not?  Get married under a metal arch or use metal pedestals for your altar arrangements.  Metal aisle markers with flowers or candles are always pretty.  Centerpieces don’t have to be on glass vases:  rod stands, metal trees and metal birdcages are a lovely option.  Add a few flowers and look how pretty metal can be.
