I love Christmas. I love baking, hosting and decorating, which makes sense, since its my job. I actually go a little overboard in all aspects. We host a party for family and friends each year for Christmas. I bake cookies and candy and well as scouring Pinterest for new recipes. Then I decorate. First the 7ft tree, decorated like a department store as my sister says 🙂 Then 40 ft of banister trimmed in garland and lights with cherubs. The staircase railing has a parade of nutcrackers and Santas. Then there is the village which has expanded to cover 3 curio cabinets, the mantle and the top of the entertainment center. Decorating begins just after Thanksgiving and take 3 to 4 days at a modest speed to get everything in place. I then leave it until after Epiphany, which is 12 days after Christmas, the day the Three Kings reached the baby Jesus after being guided there by the Angel. I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and I wish everyone a very Happy and Prosperous New Year with many blessings.
